The McCay Family

Tawnee McCay

I’m running for Mayor to ensure Riverton’s conservative values are reflected at City Hall. On the City Council, I’ve continually voted to protect private property rights, reduce taxes and prevent government overreach.

Voters have a clear choice, as both candidates serve on the Council. I’m the only candidate that voted to create our own police department, saving taxpayers $21 million. I’m the only candidate that voted for a resolution in support of human life. While others preferred development on Riverton City Park, I’m the only candidate that voted to protect the park. With more sales tax revenue from Mountain View Village, I led the effort to pay down bonds, not increase spending.

I’m a lifelong Republican, raised in Cache Valley. I earned my MBA in Finance from Utah State, and have nearly 20 years of professional experience serving as Director of the Family Life Housing and Financial Counseling Center, a financial planner, adjunct faculty, and as Congresswoman Mia Love’s campaign treasurer. I’ve been blessed to raise 6 biological and 7 foster children in Riverton.

As Mayor, I’ll seek your input to make decisions with transparency and integrity. Riverton’s best days require principled, conservative leadership.

Service Project/Kickoff
20,000 Meals Prepared

Our community event was a smashing success! We had over 100 Riverton residents show up to assemble over 20,000 meals! Jordan Education Foundation was extremely appreciative of 10,000 meals and the rest went to the Riverton & Herriman food pantries & the unsheltered.

Thank you for your service to our community!
